Here’s our story.
Early in the 21st century, three experienced and successful workplace consultants and coaches met to discuss the current state of the workplace. They discussed their efforts and the results of their work. They concluded that much more was needed to make the workplace engaging, productive, and inspiring — not just for a few, but for everyone. These discussions resulted in series of aha moments.
AHA Moment 1!
No matter how hard we tried, the workplace was simply not going to be able to provide a personal coach for everyone.
Notwithstanding the on-going and valiant efforts of talent and HR personnel to promote coaching, most organizations simply could not afford live coaching for everyone.
AHA Moment 2!
Workplace culture absolutely matters and requires a consistent effort to be productive, healthy and engaging.
Giving individuals and organizations the tools needed to have these desired outcomes was just not happening – at least not fast enough and for everyone.
AHA Moment 3!
Technology was rapidly changing the workplace. More and more people were interacting with devices and with each other through devices. But the expanding use of technology had become a “two-edged” sword.
While we could communicate faster and more efficiently, the expanded use of technology was also creating a less connected and supportive workplace.
To address the “downside” we would have to learn to use technology in new and different ways. We would need to do a better job of supporting its evolution. We would have to find better ways to support more collaboration, innovation and personal and team development and growth.
“Aha” Lead to Action!
We founded E-Coach Associates determined to leverage technology to dramatically expand the amount of coaching available to people. Doing this would help create high performance workplace cultures for all types of organizations.
After years of documenting what we had helped others discover and achieve while coaching them;
Creating content, organizing materials to support self-development;
Asking and answering common workplace questions, and selecting diverse resources to provide a wide range of views;
Our early versions of an online coaching tool were developed and tested in a variety of settings — and tested and refined again through several iterations.
What we first imagined is today a reality. Moving forward QwikCoach will continue to adapt and change to reflect the changing needs of workers and the new focus on self directed learning and coaching.
Built on a new state-of-the-art platform, with continually updated and expanded coaching content, E-Coach Associates has recently launched our latest version of QwikCoach.
With this latest version we’re helping individuals and organizations understand the power of self-directed coaching and providing powerful features like Action Central and Coaching Questions to help them discover new and better ways to coach themselves and others.
With QwikCoach, everyone in the workplace has access to on-demand coaching support that makes active engagement and collaboration a more likely outcome and builds a more healthy workplace.

Our commitment to online performance coaching has been made stronger by observing the evolution of online learning. We believe online coaching will take a similar path.
Little more than two decades ago e-learning was in its infancy. A few with vision saw its potential — not to replace traditional learning methods but to supplement and extend them. Initially, many were resistant to this “learning evolution.” Others took a “wait and see” approach. Now e-learning is widely accepted and used by organizations and individuals alike.
We strongly feel that on-demand performance coaching is on a similar path and presents a similar opportunity.
Like e-learning, on-demand coaching will not be a replacement for traditional methods but rather an effective supplement to them. Consequently, on- demand coaching will extend the benefits of coaching to millions by breaking down the barriers of time, cost, and place.
