Here’s our story.
Early in the 21st century, three experienced and successful workplace consultants and coaches had a series of “aha moments” as they discussed the results of their work and their recognition that there was much work yet to be done to make the workplace exciting, engaging, productive, humane, and inspiring — not just for a few, but for everyone.
AHA Moment 1!
No matter how long and hard we worked to provide coaching support to others, the workplace was simply not going to be able to provide a personal coach for everyone. And, notwithstanding the considerable, on-going, and valiant efforts of talent and HR personnel to promote coaching, most organizations simply could not afford live one-to-one coaching for everyone.
AHA Moment 2!
Workplace culture absolutely matters and requires a consistent effort to develop the behaviors and reward systems that yield high performance and emotionally healthy and satisfying workplaces. Giving individuals and organizations the tools needed to have these desired outcomes was just not happening – at least not fast enough and for everyone.
AHA Moment 3!
Technology was rapidly changing the workplace with more people interacting with devices and with each other through devices. But the expanding use of technology was a “two-edged” sword. What we discovered was that while we could communicate faster and more efficiently, the expanded use of technology also seemed to be creating a “less connected” and “less meaningful and supportive” workplace. To address the “downside” we would also have to learn to use technology wisely, support its evolution, and create new ways to support more personal and team development; encourage collaboration and innovation; and help people become fundamentally more satisfied — not just more narrowly productive.
“Aha” Lead to Action!
The three founded E-Coach Associates determined to leverage technology to dramatically expand the amount of coaching available to people and contribute to high performance workplace cultures — at all levels and for all types of organizations.
After years of documenting what we had helped others discover and achieve while coaching them, creating content, organizing materials to support self-development, asking and answering common workplace questions, and selecting diverse resources to provide a wide range of views, our early versions of an online coaching tool were developed and tested in a variety of settings — and tested and refined again through several iterations.
What we first imagined is today a reality. Built on a new, state-of-the-art, platform created in 2017 — with continually updated and expanded coaching content — E-Coach Associates has recently launched our newest virtual coaching solution – QwikCoach. With this latest version we’re reaching thousands of people in a variety of organizations and giving them opportunities to succeed in new, different, and significantly better ways.
With QwikCoach, everyone in the workplace – including Millennials (the fastest growing group) — can have access to a powerful and effective virtual workplace coach. As the workplace relies more and more on technology, people at all levels can now harness the best of what technology has to offer. Today, with QwikCoach, individuals and organizations can create the culture they want in the way they want it. They can have the coaching support that encourages productive behaviors, sustains continual learning, and gives each individual the ability to overcome workplace obstacles and be their very best.

Our commitment to e-coaching has been made stronger by observing the evolution of e-learning because we believe e-coaching will take a similar path. Little more than two decades ago e-learning was in its infancy. A few with vision saw its potential — not to replace traditional learning methods but to supplement and extend them. Initially, many were resistant to this “learning evolution” while others took a “wait and see” approach. Now e-learning is widely accepted and used by organizations and individuals alike.
We believe e-coaching is on a similar path today and that it presents a similar opportunity. Like e-learning, e-coaching will not be a replacement for traditional methods but rather an effective supplement to them. Consequently, e-coaching will extend the benefits of coaching to millions by breaking down the barriers of time, cost, and place. E-Coach Associates is excited about being at the forefront of this new evolution and passionate about helping others realize the transformative and beneficial results effective coaching and e-coaching can deliver.
